India’s U20 men’s team played out a goalless draw against Yemen in the opening game of their two-match closed-door friendly series at the Centre for Sports Excellence in Bengaluru on Thursday, August 20.
India and Yemen will face each other again in the second friendly on Sunday, August 23, with kick-off scheduled for 4:30 PM IST.
Following the second match, the Indian U20 squad will depart for Tashkent on August 26 as they step up preparations for the AFC U20 Asian Cup China 2027 Qualifiers, scheduled to be held in Uzbekistan from August 31 to September 6.
The Blue Colts will be looking to make the most of their remaining preparation time before beginning their qualifying campaign in Uzbekistan.
