The Indian U20 men’s football team will step up preparations for the AFC U20 Asian Cup China 2027 Qualifiers with two friendly matches against Yemen at the Centre for Sports Excellence in Bengaluru on August 20 and 23, 2026. Both games will be played behind closed doors.
The two matches will be India’s third and fourth friendlies of the ongoing training camp. The Blue Colts began their preparations with two wins over Singapore at the same venue, defeating them 3-0 on August 3 and 1-0 victory on August 6.
Following the Yemen friendlies, India will travel to Tashkent on August 26, five days before the start of their AFC U20 Asian Cup China 2027 Qualifiers campaign.
The early arrival will allow the team to acclimatise to the local conditions and get additional training time in the Tashkent weather.
India will begin their qualifying campaign against Syria on August 31, followed by matches against hosts Uzbekistan on September 3 and Bangladesh on September 6.
The Blue Colts will be aiming to use the Yemen friendlies as another important test before heading to Tashkent for the crucial continental qualifiers.
