Korea Republic booked a place in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2022 final with a comfortable 2-0 win over the Philippines at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune on Thursday.
This will be Korea Republic’s first ever appearance in the final. For Korea Republic, Cho So-hyun in 4’ and Son Hwa-yeon in 34’ scored the goals.
Philippines, though lost in semi-finals, but had shown fantastic performance throughout the tournament and can look forward to an inaugural appearance in the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia/New Zealand 2023.
