East Bengal FC will face a challenging line-up in the AFC Women’s Champions League 2026-27 Group Stage, having been placed in Group B alongside champions from Korea Republic, Vietnam and DPR Korea.
The draw, held at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday, September 3, has pitted the Indian Women’s League champions against Hwacheon KSPO WFC, Ho Chi Minh City Women’s FC and 4.25 SC.
Kolkata will host Group B from November 1 to 7, 2026, creating a landmark moment as the AFC Women’s Champions League Group Stage comes to India for the first time.
The Moshal Girls earned their second successive Group Stage appearance after topping Group A of the Preliminary Stage in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. East Bengal recorded victories over Rajshahi Stars FC, Rovers FC and Sabah FA to secure their place among Asia’s top women’s clubs.
The upcoming Group Stage will feature 12 teams divided into three groups of four, with the matches being played in a centralised league format. East Bengal will be aiming to go one step further this season and reach the Quarter-finals for the first time.
The three group winners, three runners-up and the two best third-placed teams will progress to the Knockout Stage. The Quarter-final draw will take place in December 2026, with the last-eight matches scheduled for March 2027.
