East Bengal defeated Shandong Luneng FC(China) by 3-1 margin in the IFA Shield Group Stage Match at Yuba Bharati Krirangan. Mi-Hao-Ling(22′) gave Chinese outfit the lead but the red & golds bounced back and scored through Baljit Singh Sahni(41′), Reisangmei Vashum(77′) and Ravinder Singh(90’+) to clinch the win. Defeating a Chinese team was one of the greatest moment for Red & Gold Brigade’s successful story against foreign teams.
