The India U17 women’s national team began their two-match friendly series in Tashkent with a 0-0 draw against Uzbekistan on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at the UFA National Football Centre.
In a closely contested closed-door encounter, both sides remained disciplined defensively and neither team managed to break the deadlock over 90 minutes. The result gives the Young Tigresses valuable match experience as they continue their preparations for their upcoming continental campaign.
India will face Uzbekistan once again on Sunday, August 30.
The Tashkent camp forms an important part of India’s preparations for the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup China 2027 Qualifiers, which are scheduled to take place in Malaysia from October 5 to 11, 2026.
